Haras Cruzeiro is part of Fazenda Engenho, a property with more than 20,000 acres dedicated to agriculture and cattle breeding.

Fazenda Engenho was founded in 1830 and is owned by Leandro de Aguiar - 5th generation of the family at the forefront of business. It is located in Brazil, state of Minas Gerais, Triângulo Mineiro region.

Leandro de Aguiar is a horse passionate person, and started breeding horses in the 80s, with 2 breeds: Mangalarga (Brazilian horse saddle breed) and Arabian Horses.

From the 90's, Leandro’s Arabian horse breeding program gained more importance within Haras Cruzeiro. In the following years some important investments were made to import some individuals that were fundamental to the breeding program of Leandro de Aguiar. Among the imports made, we can highlight the sisters *Shariba (Gazal Al Shaqab x Thee Rahiba) and *Turchiya MPE (WH Justice x Thee Rahiba), the stallion *HDB Sihr Ibn Massai (Massai Ibn Marenga x Mayana), twice Brazilian National Champion.

Haras Cruzeiro is currently among the best breeders of Arabian horses in Brazil, and has been distinguished through its breeding program that favors refinement / Arabian type, movement and horses structure.
